Amazon India has come up with features to help out its customers in the time of coronavirus lockdown. It has introduced a credit payment method for users to buy essentials, groceries.

Amazon India is making attempts to help its customers in the time of the nationwide lockdown when getting essentials is also becoming a struggle. Amazon has launched a payment method through which customers can even buy groceries on credit. Moreover, it has teamed up with Indian Railways for better reach of essential goods to customers.

Amazon India will now allow the purchase of goods like grocery or other essentials on credit through its newly launched feature "Amazon Pay Later". Initially, this was available for only non-essential goods. Amazon Pay India, CEO, Mahendra Nerukar said: "Amazon Pay Later is a unique service that will help customers expand their access to credit and experience the most convenient option of making payments."

Amazon’s blog stated that the initiative taken by Amazon Pay is aimed at helping customers extend their budgets for purchases like home appliances, electronic gadgets, everyday essentials, groceries, and even pay their monthly bills for electricity, mobile recharges, etc. The feature allows auto-repayment to settle monthly bills or EMIs through the bank of their choice. Customers can also repay the outstanding amount in one go with no additional fees. Customers can also opt to pay in 3 or 12 EMIs without any hidden charges. They can avail credit up to Rs 20,000. They can also set up an automatic repayment schedule.

Amazon Pay has partnered with Capital Float and the Karur Vysya Bank (KVB) to design and enable 'Amazon Pay Later' service for its eligible customers.

Bengaluru, April 29: In a bid to assist its customers amid this lockdown e-commerce Giant Amazon India has now launched its pay later service in the country. Under this, customers can avail instant credit so that they can buy daily essentials, electronics, and clothing items among others. Moreover, it has teamed up with Indian Railways for better reach of essential goods to customers.
